Parker's Story

Hi! My name is Parker Colgan, and this is my story.

I was born with a rare genetic condition called Alagille Syndrome, which affects different parts of my body—especially my liver and heart. On top of that, I’ve also been diagnosed with Asthma, Tetralogy of Fallot with an absent pulmonary valve (a complex heart condition), and I’ve undergone a liver transplant. I also live with hepatic artery stenosis, which means my medical journey hasn’t always been easy.

But here’s the thing—you won’t catch me slowing down!

Thanks to my amazing medical team at CHONY – Columbia Presbyterian, I get the care I need to stay strong and keep doing what I love. I’m a fun-loving, energetic boy who enjoys every minute of life. I love building cool creations with Legos and Magnatiles, racing my monster trucks, and zooming around with my cars and dirt bikes. I have so much fun playing outside with my little brother, Hudson, and hanging out with my friends.

I’ve even played hockey, and right now I’m having a blast playing T-ball. When it’s warm out, nothing beats swimming at my grandparents’ house or going on ice cream dates with my family—those are the best days.

No matter what challenges I face, I’m always ready to smile, laugh, and live life to the fullest.
